Rotary Compressors
Contact-Cooled Rotary Compressors
A contact-cooled rotary compressor uses two rotating elements within a common housing (called an “airend”) that compress the air in either a single- or 2-stage process. The airend is filled with coolant, whose purpose is to seal the gaps between the rotors, lubricate the airend bearings and remove the heat of compression.
Rotary compressors supplied by Airdyne are rated for 24/7/365 operation. They are inherently quiet and require little maintenance when compared to a piston machine.
Airdyne, the Gulf Coast’s Ingersoll Rand Air Solutions Master Distributor for more than 30 years, supplies you with the most technologically advanced rotary compressors available today.
The 5-50HP line of compressors come standard with features designed to maximize uptime and productivity. Options include variable speed drive and an integral air treatment package.
The variable-speed Nirvana features a high-efficiency HPM motor and variable frequency drive (VFD) to minimize energy costs. The compressors are also available in the world’s only VFD 2-stage configuration that can deliver an additional 15% energy efficiency.
The SSR 50-100HPuses an industry-exclusive integral gear drive train. The compressors are rated for 115°F ambient temperatures so your plant can keep on running in sweltering heat.
The SSR 125-500is available as a single-stage, or high-efficiency 2-stage configuration. Rated for 115°F ambient temperatures and using a digital inlet control systems, this is the class leader for 125-500HP compressors.
